Chemical Blacking

Using the chemical conversion treatment Chemical Blacking, we are able to provide a highly decorative black finish on most ferrous surfaces.

Applying this process means that a uniform colouring can be obtained, plus the dimensions of the item are not altered

This is done by immersing the blackened components into an approved corrosion inhibited mineral oil and lanolin based fluid which is then heated to 155 Celsius to greatly improve both the appearance and the resistance to corrosion.
